SCRIBAL EVANGELIST As the only living certified Soferet (סופרת - female Jewish ritual scribe) & the first woman to practice sofrut (creation of sacred Hebrew texts) in over 200 years, I feel an obligation to blog about my experiences of The Work. I am also currently researching the foundation of a lost tradtion of women practicing this holy craft. For more on the services I provide, please see; Sofrut Nation. I am now available to engage with students, male or female, wishing to enter into the preliminary stage of learning sofrut. You are welcome to join me on this path. 11 Nisan

...since I last posted!
Erev Shabbat I got home from here doing this:

Yep, that's me doing my little lecture-dance in full red-eye. Taken with the new digital camera given to me by my fab host family! It's shehechiyanu time! :D

I'd like to publicly offer my great thanks to Rabbis Linda Motzkin & Jonathan Rubenstein for their generosity & kindness.

For my shiur on the Torah portion we read today, check out Radical Torah as per usual.

Shavu'ah tov!

Oh yeah, these people are the sweetest neshamahs :D
They said it was ridiculous that I had to borrow cameras each time I needed to photograph my work or log my experiences, since I rely so heavily on the visual...& they're right.
I'm so grateful!
