G@d can be more easily found in human love than in human thought.
Adventures of a female sofer learning to heal the world by doing Holy Work...writing a Sefer Torah
נחזיר את השכינה למקומה בצייון ובתבל כלה
"Let us restore the Divine In-Dwelling to Her Place in Zion & infuse Her spirit throughout the whole inhabited world."
So wherever we are, let us bring the Peace of G@d's Presence.
SCRIBAL EVANGELIST As the only living certified Soferet (סופרת - female Jewish ritual scribe) & the first woman to practice sofrut (creation of sacred Hebrew texts) in over 200 years, I feel an obligation to blog about my experiences of The Work. I am also currently researching the foundation of a lost tradtion of women practicing this holy craft. For more on the services I provide, please see Soferet.com; Sofrut Nation. I am now available to engage with students, male or female, wishing to enter into the preliminary stage of learning sofrut. You are welcome to join me on this path. I would like to think that God is in human thought nonetheless...
Maybe if humans think more about love?
Or think with love?
Or love to think?
:)
The quote says "G-d can be more easily found...", not that G-d isn't in human thought, just that He's found more easily in human love. Thought is conditioned, love is uninhibited. I like this quote very much!
Point taken, Regina.
love is not uninhibited. in fact, true love is kind of rare. loving means giving. The root word of "ahavah" (love) is "hav" (give). giving is not at all natural. babies are only takers. the love that children experience is based on their dependence on adults. we slowly learn to give as we get older. and that giving is conditioned. it takes lots of hard work as an adult to learn to give with a full heart (i.e., not to give for the sake of alterior motives). much more on this topic. short of time at the moment.
