SCRIBAL EVANGELIST As the only living certified Soferet (סופרת - female Jewish ritual scribe) & the first woman to practice sofrut (creation of sacred Hebrew texts) in over 200 years, I feel an obligation to blog about my experiences of The Work. I've returned to Vancouver from New York, but am in need of a one-day retreat from human interaction. My world has been radically altered since my last post. Aside from driving our rabbi & rebbetzin to the airport this morning on little sleep, I've kept away. Humankind & its demands can wait until tomorrow.
