B"H
People keep asking me who the heck I think I am that I can write a Torah when I'm I'm female. I would sum up the discusion for lay people like this:
The bulk of the Halakhic literature from the Talmud through the Shulhan Aruch renders women invalid to write Sifrei Torah. There is an important yet isolated voice that claims otherwise. The Drisha, Rabbi Yehoshua Falk, in his comments on the Tur claims that women are kesheirot to write Sifrei Torah.

SCRIBAL EVANGELIST As the only living certified Soferet (סופרת - female Jewish ritual scribe) & the first woman to practice sofrut (creation of sacred Hebrew texts) in over 200 years, I feel an obligation to blog about my experiences of The Work. I am also currently researching the foundation of a lost tradtion of women practicing this holy craft. For more on the services I provide, please see Soferet.com; Sofrut Nation.
